Merlin Entertainments, the world’s second-largest visitor attraction operator, continues to innovate and has added products based around international adventurer Bear Grylls and global family favourite Peppa Pig.
The first Bear Grylls Adventure opened this September in Birmingham and is designed on the challenges experienced by world-famous adventurer. The £20 million attraction allows would-be explorers to try diving, rock climbing, indoor skydiving and the highest free-roam high ropes in Europe.
For the pre-school market, Merlin has signed an exclusive agreement to attraction formats based on Peppa Pig and family. The standalone indoor attractions will bring the TV character to life in a series of interactive play areas designed for all the family.
The first location for ‘Peppa Pig World of Play’ will be Shanghai’s LC Mall, due to open late 2018. Four additional sites another in Beijing and Dallas/Fort Worth, Michigan and New York in the US, which are planned to be opened before the end of 2019.
