Thames riverboat operator City Cruises is at WTM to showcase its new programme of cultural cruises and its first glass boat.
New for autumn 2016, City Cruises is offering a comprehensive programme of cultural cruises along the Thames.
Culture vultures will be able to take their pick from themed trips including the Great Fire of London and Georgian London to Bridges and Landmarks, Shakespeare and Liquid London as they glide past London’s most iconic sights and learn about the city’s fascinating history.
Also new for City Cruises is the company’s first glass boat, City Alpha. Following a 14-month renovation process, which involved 90 tons of steel equipment, 5,500 electrical cables and 1,200 litres of paint, City Alpha offers guests 360-degree views of the capital city through its large panoramic windows, and the upper deck is fitted with new seating, designed to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable sightseeing experience for passengers.
City Cruises’ all-weather sightseeing boats cruise up and down the River Thames every day of the week, all year round, from four piers in the heart of London: Westminster, London Eye, Tower, and Greenwich. Circular cruises operate in season from Bankside and Tower piers.
The company offers a range of ticket types, from single journeys to a hop-on, hop-off 24-hour river pass.
Boats have café-bars with sandwiches, snacks, soft drinks, wine, beer and more. Live or recorded commentary is usually available.
