Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas, in the Western Greek mountains, has appointed an internationally renowned chef, and added excursions to a clifftop monastery.
The monastery trips are in partnership with National Geographic’s Special Lodges of the World, and offer guests the opportunity to explore a site to which only the hotel has access.
Founded by a monk seeking solitude in the surrounding mountains, the 16th century monastery features frescoed walls and a bell tower.
The new Executive Chef Yiannis Kioroglou uses local ingredients to create ‘Nature’s Cuisine’, firmly placing Aristi Mountain Resorts & Villas as one of the top places on the Greek gastronomic scene.
Gourmet guests can also take part in foodie activities, including mushroom foraging and picnics.
